Fried Rice

Homemade Fried Rice

Ingredients:

1/2 pound chopped pork or any meat (optional) 

2 tbs. soy sauce 

1 tbs. minced garlic

1 tbs. ginger

1 diced carrot (optional)

1 1/2 cups steamed white or brown rice

1 cup of frozen peas

3 eggs

2 tbs. of oil

3 chopped scallions

1 package of fried rice season mix

 

Marinate meat (meat optional) of your choice in  soy sauce minced garlic, and ginger, for about an hour.  

Steam rice. (set aside) 

Soak frozen peas, in hot water to defrost. (set aside)

Scramble eggs.  (set aside)

In a separate skillet saute meat and cook until browned well, and fully cooked. About half way through cooking the meat, add carrot. (set aside) 

 


 

On medium-high, get a large non-stick skillet or wok hot.  

Put oil in the large skillet.   

Follow package directions of fried rice season mix. (Find packet in Asian isle in supermarket)

Toss meat, eggs and peas in fried rice

Add scallions last

Stir fry all ingredients together for a few minutes.  Eat It Up !!
