This is my semi-homemade recipe.
When I go to a restaurant I do not like Alfredo. This recipe has butter and olive oil so it is not like paste, and not so thick!
Saute 1/2 of diced onion in 1 tbsp. salted butter and 2 tbsp. olive oil.
Saute onion for a few min., then add 2 cloves of crushed garlic. Saute.
Add 1 tea. Italian seasoning, 1 tbsp. parsley, and 1 tsp. lemon juice. Saute for a minute.
Then add 1/3 cup sherry; cook for a 2 min.
I used large cooked shrimp, raw is even better.
Add 1 jar of Alfredo Sauce to onion saute mixture. Rinse out jar with 1/4 cup water and stir all together; let simmer 5 min.
Then add large shrimp with tails off; cook for 3 to 5 minutes until shrimp is fully cooked. Serve on angel hair pasta.
Pasta:
Salt water ( about 2 tbsp. sea salt) before adding pasta to a large pot of boiling water.
Boil 1 lb. angel hair pasta. Follow package directions. Cook drain.
Put Shrimp Alfredo on pasta! Enjoy!
