Crispy Fried Tilapia

This is not Greasy or Fishy

Ingredients:

6Tilapia filets completely thawed and patted dry, then cut into strips.

1 cup unbleached flour

1 teas. garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper

1/2 cup milk

1 tbs. hot sauce

 2 eggs

1 cup Panko bread crumbs and 1 teas. salt

vegetable oil

Recipe:

First coat fish strips in flour mixture and shake off excess

Flour mixture:

Blend unbleached flour add, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper

Then dip in milk mixture

Milk mixture:

Wisk milk, hot sauce, and 2 eggs

Then coat in Panko bread crumbs mixture

Bread crumb mixture:

Blend Panko bread crumbs and 1 teas. salt

In cast iron skillet fill 1/2 full with vegetable oil;  heat oil on medium high heat.  Oil is ready when the end of a wooden spoon bubbles when put in oil.

Fry until golden brown; then turn to brown on other side. Let cool on wire rack with paper towel underneath. Then enjoy!

I like to eat it with tartar sauce. Recipe: 1/2 cup salad dressing, 2 tbs. sweet pickle relish, and 1 teas. dill.
