Strawberries are in season! Why not make strawberry short cake!!
Ingredients:
1 Box Jiffy Golden Yellow cake mix
1 tub lite cool whip
2 lb of strawberries (clean and sliced)
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 juice of a lime
Recipe:
Bake cake according to package directions; let cool.
In a bowl add cleaned sliced strawberries, sugar, and lime juice. Stir well, and refrigerate for 1 hour or more.
In a layered fashion, place a piece of the cake on a serving plate; then spread some cool whip on the cake, then add some macerated strawberries, add cool whip again; then even more strawberries!! YUMMM!!
