Beef Stew

                                            Nothing Like Home Cooking!

Ingredients:
1 lb. stew meat
1 tbs. oil
1 tbs. butter
2 cloves garlic chopped
1 med. onion diced
2 beef or chicken bullion cubes
2 stems of celery diced
1 16 oz can stewed tomatoes, puree in food processor (do not drain)
4 med. carrots pealed and chopped
2 to 3 large potatoes pealed and chopped
1 cup frozen peas
1 teas. salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning
water



 2 hours cooking time
Recipe:
In a large pot, brown stew meat in oil and butter with salt and pepper.
Add onion, celery, and garlic; saute for a few minutes
Then add bullion cubes and just cover with water
Bring to a boil then lower heat and simmer covered for 1 hour, meat should be tender.
Then add stewed tomatoes, carrots and Italian seasoning
Bring to a boil then lower heat and simmer for 15 minutes
Then add potatoes, 2 to 3 more cups of water as needed; simmer uncovered for another 15 to 20 minutes, stirring once in a while until potatoes are fork tender. Smash some potatoes in stew to make broth thicker. Add peas, and stir. Cook for another 5 minutes. Now it's done! Just be careful it will be hot!
Eat and enjoy!! It is hard to stop eating it!
